Amazonite is an opaque variety of microcline feldspar, which can be found in colours varying from green - yellow to green-blue, sometimes having whiteish streaks and a mottled appearance.

It is named after the Amazon river in South America, but it is not necessarily found in this area. Important deposits can be found in Brazil, Russia, Colorado and India.

Amazonite is sometimes said to calm emotions, soothe nerves and to enhance creativity.

These amazonite round 10mm cabochons are a deeper green than most of our amazonite cabochons. The price shown is for one amazonite cabochon.
