Sodalite Cabochon - Oval 10 x 8 mm
Sodalite is an attractive blue stone which is mottled with white veins and is sometimes confused with lapis lazuli. It can occur in many different colours, but it is the blue sodalite which is commonly used in jewellery making. It is widely used for making cabochons, beads and ornaments.
It became popular for ornamental use when large deposits were discovered in Canada. Sodalite is also found in USA, Norway, India and Brazil. It is a hard yet fragile stone and measures 5.5 - 6 on Moh's hardness scale.
The price shown is for one sodalite 10x8mm cabochon.
